DescriptionThe whole story▼
The KTM 350 EXC-F Six Days takes its name from the International Six Days Enduro, the long-established event in which riders cover a hard route day after day and are expected to keep their own machines running. That spirit of self-reliance suits a folding lever. Accossato's B8303 replaces the front brake lever of the 350 EXC-F Six Days from 2014 to 2022. It is machined in Italy from Ergal 7075, and a joint gives the blade a chance to fold forward in a crash instead of breaking.
Key Features
- Folding brake lever for the KTM 350 EXC-F Six Days, 2014 to 2022
- Replaces the standard lever on the original front brake master cylinder
- Anti-break joint gives the blade room to fold forward on impact
- Short brake blade laid out for three fingers
- Machined from a solid block of Ergal 7075 in Italy
- Blade in black or gold, base in a dark finish
- No German ABE documented; for off-road use and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Each B8303 starts life as a solid piece of Ergal 7075, the high-strength aluminium alloy Accossato uses because it wants the lever strong, light and reliable. CNC machines in Italy then remove everything that is not lever. Two parts come out of the process: a dark base around the pivot and a blade, black or gold, that can hinge away from it. The brake blade is shorter than its clutch counterpart and intended for three fingers.
Six Days, One Mechanic
At the event behind the name, outside help is tightly restricted. The rider is the mechanic, working against the clock in short service periods with the tools and spares allowed. A broken brake lever in that setting is not a quick swap by a team member; it is lost minutes, or a long stage ridden with the fingers wrapped round a stub. Anyone who enters a multi-day enduro, or simply rides several days in a row on a trip, learns to value parts that leave them options.
The B8303 is built with that in mind. If the 350 EXC-F Six Days slides out in a test and lands on its right, the joint lets the blade swing forward rather than absorb the whole blow at its tip, so there is a fair chance it is still usable when you lift the bike. A heavy enough hit can still damage it, and a spare in the bag remains wise. Accossato, which took an enduro world title in 1985, designed these levers around a simple idea: that a fall should not be the reason you fail to finish.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the B8303 for the KTM 350 EXC-F Six Days of 2014 to 2022, where it fits the original front brake master cylinder; the standard 350 EXC-F is not named in that listing. The matching C7303 clutch lever covers the same years. The two do not share a palette: the brake lever comes in black or gold, the clutch lever in black or orange, so black is the only way to have both sides in the same colour.
Road Approval
This brake lever has no documented German ABE. If your 350 EXC-F Six Days is registered for the road, keep in mind that with the B8303 fitted it is not approved for public roads; the lever is meant for off-road riding and competition.
