DescriptionThe whole story▼
Ask anyone who has raced a 125 two-stroke and they will say the same thing: the bike punishes you for braking. Every bit of speed scrubbed off has to be won back by an engine that needs revs to pull, so riders of the Husqvarna TC 125 learn to brake briefly, late and precisely, and to carry as much speed as they can into the turn. Accossato's B8283 is listed for the TC 125 from 2014 to 2022 as a folding brake lever. It is CNC-machined in Italy from Ergal 7075 and has a short three-finger blade that can fold forward in a crash.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato mills the B8283 from a solid block of Ergal 7075 on CNC machines in Italy. The alloy is a high-strength aluminium, and the maker's reasons for using it are strength, low weight and reliability. Two parts make up the lever: a dark base, which sits on the pivot of the TC 125's original front brake master cylinder, and a blade in black, blue or orange, connected by the joint that allows folding. The brake blade is short and intended for three fingers, compared with the longer four-finger shape of Accossato's clutch levers.
Momentum Is Everything
On a 125 the rider's job in a corner is to lose as little speed as possible. That means choosing lines that allow a rounder, faster turn, braking in a short burst at the last moment and releasing the front brake early so the bike can roll through. A four-stroke rider can brake harder and use the engine's torque to recover; on the TC 125, a corner taken too slowly lets the engine fall out of its power, and the next straight is lost. Braking becomes a matter of fine judgement rather than force.
Carrying speed has a cost. The front tyre is often right at its limit as the rider releases the brake and leans in, and when it lets go the bike slides out quickly. A TC 125 is light and easy to pick up, but a sliding bike still drags its levers along the ground. The B8283 is designed so its blade can fold forward in such a slide instead of breaking at the tip. It will not survive every crash, but for a young rider learning to carry corner speed, or an adult enjoying the challenge of a small two-stroke, it means one less part to replace after a mistake.
Fitment and Compatibility
In Accossato's list the B8283 fits the Husqvarna TC 125 across 2014 to 2022, split into the version groups 2014 to 2021 and 2022. It replaces the stock lever on the original front brake master cylinder. On the clutch side there are two options by year: the C7284 for 2014 to 2021 and the C7283 for the 2022 model. The C7283 adds red to the black, blue and orange that all three share.
Road Approval
The B8283 has no documented German ABE. Like the TC 125, it is made for motocross tracks and closed off-road ground.
