Puig chose ABS for this rear fender extender specifically because of its resistance to impact and weathering. Unlike brittle plastics that crack in cold weather or fade under UV, this undertail fender extension is designed to keep its shape and matt black finish through repeated exposure to water, road salt and stone strikes. It acts as an additional splash guard layered directly over the stock fender, tightening up the gap where debris typically finds its way through.
