For the 2017 to 2019 Street Triple 765 R, the JP PS TR039 replaces the left-hand switch with a body machined from Ergal 7075.

The Sensible 765
Showa suspension rather than Öhlins, Brembo M4.32 calipers rather than Stylemas, and a slightly softer state of tune. The R was cheaper, more comfortable and for most road riders the better motorcycle, which is why it outsold the RS by a comfortable margin.
Before Euro 5
This fitment stops at 2019. The revision that followed changed the engine internals and the electronics, and the later bikes take a different part. The two generations look close enough that the registration document is the reliable check.
What the Left Hand Manages
Indicators, horn, beam and the navigation of the instrument display. On a bike used daily the indicator control alone may see a hundred operations before lunch, and it is the first to lose its definition.
Wear Nobody Notices Happening
Nothing on the original assembly breaks. The two moulded halves clipped around the bar develop a little play, the buttons across that joint soften, and the rider compensates by pressing harder without registering that they have started to.
Sealed Construction
The elements inside are sealed units and the body has no moulded seam. Water running down the bar in sustained rain has nowhere to enter, which is the property that decides how the assembly feels in year five.
Three Anodised Finishes
Black, titanium and copper, all applied through the surface rather than coated on top of it. A scuff dulls the component instead of exposing bright aluminium underneath.
A Straightforward Swap
The grip and bar-end weight come off, the old cluster follows, and the new one goes on using Triumph's own connector. No wire is cut and no coding is required, which keeps the job within an evening in a home garage.
