DescriptionThe whole story▼

For racers who want to test every option, Accossato offers the AGPA96 front pad in its ZXC ceramic racing mixture for the KTM RC4R 250 of model year 2020. It is meant for riders and teams who spend a race weekend comparing settings, and who want to try a ceramic front against their usual race compound, keeping notes on lap times and lever feel before choosing what to run in the race.

Key Features

  • Front pads AGPA96 for the KTM RC4R 250, 2020
  • ZXC ceramic racing mixture, SKU AGPA96ZXC
  • Accossato describes it as a ceramic compound ideal for racing
  • For back-to-back testing over a race weekend
  • Offers a different feel from the conventional race pad
  • Competition use only
  • Same plate also sold as OR, ST, EV1 and EV2
  • No ABE on file with us; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's entire statement about ZXC is that it is a ceramic compound ideal for racing. We add nothing to that. For its pads in general, the company says they limit heat build-up, reducing fade, and that they combine strong stopping with long life. The ceramic face is bonded to the standard AGPA96 plate, so it fits the RC4R 250 front caliper without adaptation.

Back-to-Back Testing

A structured test is simple: run the usual race pad in one session, the ceramic one in the next, and keep everything else the same. The rider then reports how quickly the bite arrives, how it builds and how cleanly it releases into the corner, while the timing screen provides the numbers. On a small bike where braking points are close together, differences become clear quickly. The data, not habit, then decides which pad goes in for the race.

Clean the caliper and pistons before each change, push the pistons back evenly and pump the lever until firm. Keep the disc free of grease and bed the ceramic set in on the out lap.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA96 for the front of the KTM RC4R 250 in 2020, where it names the bike RC 250 4R. The rear pad for that year is AGPP91, and no disc is catalogued. Check how many front calipers you need to equip and compare the pads before fitting.

Road Approval

We hold no ABE or approval document for AGPA96ZXC. It is sold for racing only.

Scope of Delivery

Two ZXC ceramic pads, one caliper set.
