DescriptionThe whole story▼
One ride can contain a whole season. A morning that starts under cloud, a pass still wet in the trees, sunshine for an hour and rain again on the way home. A Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport, firmer in its suspension than the other versions and set up for a rider who presses on, will meet all of that in a day. The Sintered pad Accossato offers on the AGPA177 carrier is credited with the same response whether the discs are chilled or well used, and with confidence on a wet surface. The listing covers 2018 to 2024.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport, article AGPA177ST, Sintered compound
- Model years 2018 to 2024, the Sport and the later Sport Pro
- Accossato's account: grip that holds at high and low temperatures and works in the wet
- For long days on which the weather does as it likes
- Two pads in a box, the set for one caliper
- Check the front of your own machine to see how many boxes are needed
- The same pad is also made as EV1, EV2 and ZXC
- No German ABE or other approval documented; track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato promises for this compound is an absence of surprises. The bite does not disappear when the disc is cold and does not change character once it is hot, and a wet surface is not treated as a special case. On a Scrambler 1100 Sport, a machine whose owner tends to use the whole of a road, that steadiness is the point of the exercise: you learn what the lever does once and it goes on doing it. The friction material is mounted on the ordinary AGPA177 plate, which is why moving between compounds changes nothing in the workshop. One box, two pads, one caliper filled.
Four Kinds of Weather in One Day
The trouble with a long ride is that conditions change faster than a rider's habits do. You spend the first hour braking gently on a greasy road, settle into a dry rhythm by lunchtime, then meet rain on a descent where you have already decided how late you are going to brake. A front brake that behaves differently in each of those phases makes the transitions harder than they need to be. The Scrambler 1100 Sport carries firmer suspension than its stablemates and lets a rider take more speed into a bend, which raises the value of a predictable front end rather than lowering it. Practical matters help as well. Set off gently enough to put some warmth into everything, cover the lever rather than gripping it where the surface looks doubtful, and stop for fuel before you are desperate so the brakes get a rest too. At home, look at the pads through the caliper while the wheel is still clean, because grime hides the wear line.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's tables run from 2018 to 2024 for this machine, first as the Scrambler 1100 Sport and from 2020 as the Sport Pro, with the AGPA177 as the front pad throughout. A box is a single caliper's set, so count what your fork carries before you order, and always renew both pads in a caliper at once. The rear of the Scrambler 1100 Sport takes the AGPP91, and the DK008 and DKS053 are the discs the firm lists for it.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE for the AGPA177ST in our documents and no alternative approval, so the pads are supplied for the circuit and for competition.
Scope of Delivery
One box of two AGPA177 front pads in the Sintered material.
