DescriptionThe whole story▼
October rides have their own character. The sun sits low enough to blind you between the trees, wet leaves lie in the shadowed corners where they never dry, and the tarmac stays cold all day. A Dorsoduro 750 is an enjoyable bike on those roads, upright and quick to change line, provided the front brake responds the same way at nine in the morning as it does at three in the afternoon. That is what Accossato's Sintered (ST) material in the AGPA101 pad is meant to deliver, for Dorsoduro 750 models of 2009 to 2018.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) front pads, article AGPA101ST, for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750
- Covers the 2009 to 2018 model years
- Accossato describes an unchanging grip level from cold pads and hot ones
- Works with a wet disc without losing its bite
- Two pads per box; the front wheel has two calipers to fill
- The same shape is also offered as OR, EV1 and EV2
- Rear of the same bike: Accossato AGPP91 pads
- No German ABE documented; for track and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
Sintered material occupies the practical middle of the AGPA101 range. Accossato's claim for it is not about peak force but about repeatability: the same pull at the lever should produce the same slowing whether the pads are cold from an overnight frost or warm from an hour of back roads, and a wet disc should not change the equation. Because the material also limits how hot it becomes, fade is slower to appear on a long descent. One box equals one caliper, two pads at a time.
Wet Leaves and a Low Sun
Autumn roads punish riders who trust their eyes alone. A shaded corner that looks merely damp may be carrying a layer of leaf mulch with the grip of wet soap, and the low sun hides the transition completely until the front wheel is on it. The answer is not clever equipment but position and timing: brake on the straight while the bike is upright, get the speed off early, and roll through the shaded part with the front brake released. Where a wet surface cannot be avoided, a pad that bites the same way every time lets you apply pressure in small, measured amounts. It is also the season to check the brake fluid, which absorbs moisture over the years and shows it first as a lever that feels longer than it used to.
Fitment and Compatibility
This pad is catalogued for the front of the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 across model years 2009 to 2018. Twin front calipers mean two boxes are required to finish the axle, and both should be changed in one session so that the wheel is stopped by matching material on each side. Three other article numbers share the outline, OR, EV1 and EV2, for gentler or harder use. Accossato also lists the AGPP91 rear pad and the DKS032 front disc for this model.
Road Approval
An approval document for the AGPA101ST has never been supplied to us and no German ABE is on file. We therefore offer these pads for competition and for use on closed circuits.
