DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato lists AGPA58EV2, the racing front pad, for the Triumph Thunderbird Storm from 2011 to 2018. The EV2 racing compound is made for competition, where the brake is used at full force into every braking point and must hold its character through timed practice. On a big cruiser this is a specialist choice for closed-course events; riders who use the Storm on public roads will be better served by the Organic or Sintered versions of the same pad.

Construction and Material Quality
EV2 racing is listed by Accossato among its top racing compounds. It is designed for the sustained, heavy use typical of a race or timed session. As with every Accossato pad, the design aims to keep heat under control to limit fade and to wear evenly.
The Marker at the End of the Straight
On a closed course, the braking point at the end of a straight is where a heavy machine like the Storm demands the most from its front brake. A racing compound is designed to deliver a consistent stop every lap, so you can pick a marker and trust it. Before a timed session, check that the fluid is fresh, the discs are clean and the pads are properly bedded in. Warm the brakes on the out lap before using full pressure.
After the Session
Let the brakes cool on the in lap, check the pads for even wear and the discs for any unusual colour or deposits. Record how the lever felt so you can spot changes in the next session.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Thunderbird Storm, Accossato lists AGPA58 on the front wheel across the 2011 to 2018 model years, with AGPA92 as the rear option. A box contains one caliper's worth of pads, so check how many calipers your Storm has at the front. Clean the pistons before retracting them.
Road Approval
There is no ABE and no test mark available for AGPA58EV2. It is sold for racing use.
