DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 was styled as a modern café racer, and it rewards riders who enjoy a quick run along a twisting road or a session at a circuit open day. For them, Accossato offers the AGPA184 front pad with EV1 street/track lining, SKU AGPA184EV1, catalogued for model years 2017 to 2025. It suits ambitious road riders and trackday newcomers who brake later and harder than a commuter and want a firm, precise lever to match the bike's sporty character.

Key Features

  • EV1 front pads for the Husqvarna Vitpilen 401
  • Model years 2017 to 2025, SKU AGPA184EV1
  • Accossato rates its grip as excellent for fast roads and amateur circuit days
  • Firm, precise lever for late braking
  • Keeps its feel over a hard session
  • This plate also comes with OR and ST
  • For closed-course use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato created EV1 for riders who combine quick road riding with hobby track sessions, and it calls the grip excellent in both. On the Vitpilen 401 the lining is bonded to the AGPA184 plate and gives a more immediate first bite and a firmer lever than a commuting lining. The maker adds that it is designed to resist fade as heat builds through a series of heavy stops.

Café Racer on a Circuit

A light single-cylinder bike is quick through corners, and the brakes decide how much speed can be carried into them. With EV1, the Vitpilen 401 rider gets a clear signal from the lever about how much stopping force is available, which makes trail braking towards the apex easier to learn. At a trackday, where every lap brings several hard stops, the lining keeps its firm feel instead of fading into a long pull.

The night before a circuit visit, fresh fluid and a clean, grease-free rotor are worth more than any tyre-warmer; the pads themselves settle in during the first gentle out-lap.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato assigns AGPA184 to the Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 front caliper for 2017 through 2025, and AGPP91 to the rear. For everyday riding in town, OR is the gentler lining, and ST covers wet commuting. Check how many front calipers your Vitpilen 401 uses and compare the old pads with this pair before fitting.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or test paperwork for this EV1 set, so it is sold for circuit riding and competition.
