A spring that has settled in service sits shorter than new and quietly lowers the ride height. Springs are the cheapest suspension part and the one that decides the most. Free length and inner diameter decide fit; the rate decides behaviour.

Genuine Service Part

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21031-09. Öhlins states dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 17 mm, dimension c 600 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. A spring that has settled in service sits shorter than new and quietly lowers the ride height. A settled spring lowers the machine and steepens the steering without anyone changing a setting.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21031-09

Category: Springs

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 17 mm

Dimension C: 600 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21031-09_23807362-3caa-4079-89e7-3ebf81d2e03f.png?v=1788876929
