DescriptionThe whole story▼
The offset-hole version of the Kove 450 Rally right-hand switch. The JP PLDB 052 is drilled for master cylinders whose clamp bolts sit stepped rather than in line.
Key Features
- Kove 450 Rally (2023–2026)
- For misaligned (offset) clamp holes
- Full street control set
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
Two Patterns, One Bike
JetPrime lists this switch for the Kove in two drillings: a universal plate that accepts either geometry and this dedicated offset version. The offset one is narrower and sits closer to the master cylinder, which on a handlebar already carrying a navigation tower is a real advantage rather than a detail.
How to Choose Correctly
Look at the clamp half currently on the motorcycle. If one bolt sits ahead of the other relative to the bar axis, the geometry is offset and this is the right part. If the two bolts sit on a line square to the bar, the universal version is needed instead. The check takes a moment and prevents a return.
Rally Riding and the Right Hand
The 450 Rally is used standing up for long stretches, which changes the angle at which the thumb reaches the controls. Machined relief between the buttons gives the glove a physical boundary to work from when the wrist is not in the position the bike was drawn around.
A Manufacturer Worth Taking Seriously
Kove is a young company and the 450 Rally is the machine that made the argument for it: genuinely competitive rally hardware at a price that does not assume a sponsor. The bikes are being bought by people who intend to use them, which is why aftermarket switchgear for one exists at all.
Sealed Construction
Milled from one block of Ergal 7075 with sealed switch elements inside. On a motorcycle whose natural habitat is dust followed by a pressure washer, that construction is the specification that decides how long the controls stay accurate.
