DescriptionThe whole story▼
The newer generation of the Yamaha YZ250F, from 2020 to 2026, takes a different front pad from its predecessors: Accossato's AGPA288. This listing is the Sintered (ST) version, which suits riders who train and race through every month of the year. Accossato also names the 2026 70th anniversary edition of the YZ250F among the versions it covers. The sintered compound is described as holding a high grip level at low and high temperatures and working well in the wet, so the front brake behaves predictably on changing ground.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Yamaha YZ250F, model years 2020 to 2026
- Includes the YZ 250 F 70th anniversary version of 2026 per Accossato
- AGPA288 shape with the Sintered (ST) compound, code AGPA288ST
- Consistent friction in cold, hot and wet conditions, says Accossato
- Two pads per box for the single front caliper
- An STMX off-road filling of the same pad is also listed
- No German ABE held; intended for closed-course use
Construction and Material Quality
The AGPA288 in sintered form is Accossato's all-rounder for the current YZ250F. The company states that it keeps its grip high and steady across the temperature range and still works in the wet. Riders will notice that mostly as a lever that does not change character during a moto. Accossato also promises long wear and little fade, as heat is kept in check. The box contains two pads, the correct quantity for one caliper.
From Winter Training to Summer Races
The current YZ250F is a modern motocross bike, and its owners tend to ride it hard all year. Winter sessions on frozen ruts, spring tracks full of standing water and dusty summer circuits all ask different things of a brake. A sintered pad smooths out those differences by giving a similar feel from one condition to the next, so the rider can concentrate on lines instead of adjusting to the lever. For heavy mud, sand and river crossings, the STMX version of the AGPA288 is the specialist alternative.
Before the First Moto
Check the disc for wear and warping, clean the caliper and pistons, and confirm the fluid level after pushing the pistons back. Keep the rotor free of grease. Once installed, pump the lever until it is firm and bed in the pads with several progressive stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato assigns the AGPA288 to the front of the Yamaha YZ250F built from 2020 to 2026, plus the 70th anniversary version of 2026. Earlier bikes from 2007 to 2020 use the AGPA110 instead; 2020 appears in both ranges, so check against your old pads if your YZ250F is from that year. At the rear, the AGPP106 covers 2003 to 2026. Discs listed for this model are DK111, DK168, DK268 and DK269.
Road Approval
We have received no approval documents or German ABE for this pad. It is sold for circuit and competition use only.
Scope of Delivery
One box containing two sintered pads, enough for the front caliper of one YZ250F.
