DescriptionThe whole story▼

The KTM RC8 890 C is a track-only machine, so an Organic rear pad is not the obvious choice for it, and we want to explain where it fits. Accossato lists AGPA42 in the Organic mixture for the rear of the RC8 890 C from 2022 to 2024. On a circuit bike the rear brake is often used very lightly, mainly to steady the chassis. Owners who ride that way, for example on instruction days or relaxed practice sessions, and who want to spare the rear disc, may find this compound suits them.

Key Features

  • Rear pads AGPA42 for the KTM RC8 890 C, 2022 to 2024
  • Organic mixture, SKU AGPA42OR
  • Accossato says it lasts longer and limits disc wear
  • Soft, gradual response for light rear use
  • Suits instruction days and easy practice sessions
  • Kind to the rear disc over many outings
  • Same rear plate also made as ST and ZXC
  • No ABE on file with us; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes this mixture as long-lived and gentle on the disc. On a track machine whose rear brake is touched only occasionally, those traits help the rear disc last for many sessions. The company also says its pads limit heat build-up to reduce fade and still deliver strong stopping. The Organic block is bonded to the regular AGPA42 plate, so it fits the rear caliper without modification.

A Light Touch on Track

Plenty of riders barely use the rear on a circuit. They might drag it gently into a slow corner to settle the bike, or use it to calm a wheelie on the exit. For that kind of light, occasional use, a soft and progressive pad makes the pedal easy to dose and forgiving of a heavy boot. It also works from cold, which matters when the rear has hardly been used for several laps. Riders who use the rear hard at racing pace would look at the race compound on this plate instead.

Check pad depth and disc condition between track days, and bleed the brakes with fresh fluid before the season starts.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA42 for the rear of the KTM RC8 890 C in the model years 2022, 2023 and 2024. No front pad or disc from Accossato is catalogued for this bike. Compare old and new pads before fitting.

Road Approval

We hold no ABE or German approval for AGPA42OR. It is sold for track use.

Scope of Delivery
