DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Accossato CNC-worked 16x18 clutch master cylinder uses the same 16 mm piston as its PRS sibling but fixes the lever pivot at 18 mm, a distance Accossato recommends for both track and everyday street use rather than leaving it adjustable. In place of a sliding pivot, the feel of the Revolution Lever itself can be changed by adding or removing small inserts, and the lever is offered in seven colours.

Key Features

  • 16 mm piston diameter for a progressive, controllable clutch release
  • 18 mm lever pivot distance for track use, also recommended for street riding
  • Revolution Lever, adjustable by adding or removing inserts, available in seven colours
  • CNC-machined aluminium body with natural anodising
  • Offset riser that reduces master cylinder deflection during gear changes
  • Passive lever stroke cut by more than 50 percent compared with a standard radial master cylinder
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a galvanised steel bleed valve
  • Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

This clutch master cylinder is CNC machined from aluminium billet in Italy, finished with natural anodising instead of a painted coating. The mounting screws are stainless steel, the bleed valve is galvanised steel, and the seals are produced from Formula 1 compound to withstand the heat cycles and fluid contact a clutch system sees close to the engine. An offset riser built into the clamp reduces flex of the body while the gearbox is worked hard, and the shape of the internal passages keeps the passive stroke, the lever travel before the clutch actually begins to disengage, reduced by more than half compared with a standard radial master cylinder.

A Fixed Pivot, Tuned Through the Lever Instead

Where the PRS version of this 16 mm clutch pump offers three pivot positions, this variant keeps the pivot fixed at 18 mm, the setting Accossato recommends equally for track days and road use, which simplifies the unit without removing the ability to adjust the lever feel. That adjustment instead happens inside the Revolution Lever, where inserts can be added or removed to change how the lever responds, giving riders who do not need three separate pivot settings a slightly simpler way to reach a feel they are happy with.

Fitment and Compatibility

This clutch master cylinder is confirmed for 51 motorcycles in our fitment data, drawn from BMW, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki, a roster that includes the BMW R NineT Scrambler (2016-2020), Kawasaki Versys 650 (2007-2020), Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom (2014-2019), Honda CB1100 (2017-2017) and BMW F800GS (2008-2016). Exact production years for every confirmed model are set out in the Fitment tab on this page; check it against your own registration before you order.

Road Approval

This clutch master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato CNC-worked 16x18 radial clutch master cylinder fitted with the Revolution Lever in the colour selected, finished in natural anodised aluminium. Stainless steel mounting screws, the galvanised steel bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch, available separately as ID001 or ID002, and the fluid reservoir are not included and must be purchased separately.
