DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Scrambler 1100 Sport was the sportiest of the big Scramblers from the start, with fully adjustable suspension of a higher grade, and since 2020 it has continued as the Sport Pro, with a low handlebar and mirrors at the bar ends. It is the Scrambler that suits a track day most naturally, mixing with naked bikes and sports bikes in the intermediate groups. On such days one hour matters more than the others for refuelling: the lunch break. Accossato lists the FC105 for the Scrambler 1100 Sport from 2018 to 2025, a quick-release fuel tank cap machined entirely from aluminium.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport and Sport Pro, 2018 to 2025
- Made entirely of CNC-machined aluminium
- Quick-closing pawl for opening and closing quickly
- Pin colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
- Replacement pawl available separately
- Check your bike against the application list before ordering
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's FC105 is CNC-machined from aluminium in its entirety, and the company describes it as robust and durable. It has a new design. The quick-closing pawl gets the filler of the Scrambler 1100 Sport open and shut again quickly, and its pin comes in six colours. A damaged pawl is replaced on its own, since Accossato sells it as a separate part.
The Lunch Break
Many track days pause at midday, when the circuit closes for an hour and the paddock slows down. It is the calmest part of the day for jobs on the bike, and refuelling is the obvious one. Put the Scrambler 1100 Sport on its stand before you go for food, switch off and let the engine cool while you eat. After lunch, with the engine noticeably cooler and nobody queuing at the pit exit yet, top up through a funnel, close the pawl and check the cap by hand. There is time to wipe the tank, look over the chain and tyres, and think about the afternoon sessions, which often run at a higher pace once everyone has settled in. Riders who refuel just before the track reopens often find themselves rushing; riders who do it straight after eating go out calm. If the organiser holds a briefing during the break, fit the fuel stop around it rather than skipping either.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the FC105 for the Scrambler 1100 Sport of 2018 and 2019 and for the Sport Pro from 2020 to 2025. We list the same cap for the Scrambler 1100, the Panigale V2 and the DesertX too. Before ordering, check that your bike appears on the application list; the cap takes the place of the original. Fit it with a cold engine, make sure the seal is seated evenly, and look at the rim again after filling.
Road Approval
The FC105 has no German ABE and no documented expert report, so its place is the track. The Sport's original cap usually needs the ignition key to open and is the one to keep on for public roads; this cap is not a simple substitute there.
