DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's EV1 street/track rear pad fits the KTM 790 Adventure R, 2019 and 2020. In Accossato's description, EV1 grips excellently for street riding and amateur circuit use. On the rear of an off-road-focused Adventure R, that makes it a pick for a specific rider: one who has switched to road tyres and spends the summer riding the bike briskly on tarmac. A rear pad with a firm, direct feel helps when using the rear brake to tighten a line or settle the chassis into a fast corner.

Key Features

  • EV1 street/track mix for the rear of the 790 Adventure R
  • Listed for the Adventure R, 2019 and 2020
  • Excellent road and amateur-track grip, per Accossato
  • Firm, direct pedal for tarmac riding
  • Useful for a road-tyre summer season
  • One box for the single rear caliper
  • Other rear mixes: OR, ST, STMX

Construction and Material Quality

EV1 is part of Accossato's performance range, formulated for fast road riding and amateur track use. The friction face is fixed to a backing plate that fits the Adventure R's rear caliper, and the pad follows the range's aims: strong braking, heat control and slow wear.

Using the Rear Brake on Fast Tarmac

Experienced riders often use a light touch of rear brake on the way into a fast corner to settle the bike and tighten the line. On an Adventure R with road tyres, a rear pad with a clear, direct response gives better feedback through the boot sole. EV1 offers that. Off-road, STMX or ST make much more sense, and OR suits relaxed riding.

Fitting Advice

Clean the rear caliper, push the piston back once clean, fit the pads and pump the pedal until firm. Bed them in with several progressive stops, and switch back to a dirt mix before the knobbly tyres return. Keep the old set labelled.

Fitment and Compatibility

This pad is listed for the KTM 790 Adventure R of 2019 and 2020. Accossato's reference names the ADVENTURE 790 R and the R RALLY for the rear. One box covers the rear caliper. For the front, Accossato's pad AGPA96 is available, with two boxes needed.

Road Approval

This rear pad has no German ABE or test documentation in our records and is supplied for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
