DescriptionThe whole story▼
Few motorcycles have been rebuilt as café racers as often as the Bonneville, and the SE makes a sound starting point: lower bars, a single seat, perhaps rear-set footrests. Every change at the handlebar alters the angle at which your hand meets the levers, and a clutch lever that felt natural on the stock bar can feel awkward on a lower one. The Accossato EST333 is a machined aluminium clutch lever for the 2006 to 2015 Bonneville SE, fitted at the original clutch mounting, with a reach adjuster to put the blade where your fingers now are.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Triumph Bonneville SE, model years 2006 to 2015
- Fits the original clutch mounting
- Reach set with an adjuster near the pivot
- Three lengths: short, standard (approximately 138 mm), long
- Machined from aluminium, anodised in two tones
- Blade in silver, black, gold, blue, green, orange or red
- Rigid lever without a folding joint
Construction and Material Quality
The EST333 is milled from aluminium on CNC machines and anodised afterwards. Accossato leaves the hub black and puts the colour on the blade, a two-tone look that suits a stripped-back café bike as well as a standard SE. Nothing hinges between the pivot and the tip, so the clutch action stays crisp and repeatable, and the lever is made in one piece. Its anodised surface also resists the scuffs that come with a bike that is often worked on, because the colour belongs to the aluminium instead of sitting on it as paint.
Lower Bars, New Angles
When the bars move down and forward, the wrists turn and the fingers approach the levers from a steeper angle. Two adjustments bring back a natural feel. Start by turning the whole clutch assembly slightly downward at its clamp until the lever lines up with your forearm in the new riding position. Then set the reach, so the blade meets your fingers without the hand opening wide; that second step is what the EST333's adjuster is for. On a café racer, blade length is as much a matter of style as of function. A short blade, made in silver, blue, gold, green and orange, gives a tight, purposeful look on narrow bars, but it asks for a firmer pull. The long blade, in gold, blue, orange and green, is lighter to operate and suits riders whose café racer still has to cope with town traffic.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Bonneville SE, Accossato gives 2006 to 2015 as the years for the EST333. It replaces the stock clutch lever at the original mounting; if your conversion uses aftermarket switchgear or a different clutch perch, compare it with the product photos first. The EDF014 brake lever covers the same Bonneville SE years, so both sides of the bar can be ordered in the same colour and length.
Road Approval
No ABE for German roads is documented for the EST333, so we sell it for use on the track.
