Measure the old part against them before ordering. Öhlins pressure-tests hoses because they carry the full gas charge. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas leaked.

Genuine Service Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 00403-13 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. The published dimensions are dimension a 49 mm, dimension b 85 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked. The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00403-13

Category: Reservoirs

Dimension A: 49 mm

Dimension B: 85 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00403-13_083db670-f82b-43cb-a13a-257c78369fd4.png?v=1788871829
