DescriptionThe whole story▼
Where the standard XSR900 sits you upright, the GP drops you onto clip-ons behind a fairing. That single change moves the hand relative to the brake lever, which is why a bike that looks like a styling exercise actually has a stronger case for reach adjustment than its naked sibling.
Key Features
- CNC-machined from solid aluminium, black anodised
- Milled Gilles face for a secure gloved grip
- Bolts to the original master cylinder without adapters
- Reach adjustable through 35 positions, set by hand
- Central adjuster wheel, reachable from the riding position
- Road legal in Germany under ABE No. KBA 91203
Machining
Solid aluminium, bored and phosphated at the pivot, then hard anodised black. The finish is deliberately plain: on a bike wearing a Grand Prix paint scheme, the lever should disappear into the cockpit rather than compete with it.
What Clip-Ons Do to Reach
Lowering the bars rolls the wrist forward and shortens the distance the fingers can comfortably travel. A lever set for an upright XSR900 will feel a few millimetres wrong on the GP — not dramatically, but enough to notice by the end of a ride. Thirty-five shallow steps are the right tool for a correction that small.
Fairings and Falls
A faired bike has more to lose in a tip-over, and a folding blade is the cheapest insurance against the lever transmitting that impact into the master cylinder.
Road Approval
Holds ABE No. KBA 91203 for German public roads. Print the downloadable certificate and keep it with the papers. No entry and no separate inspection are required.
Scope of Delivery
One black brake lever for the XSR900 GP, supplied alone and fitted with the original pivot hardware.
