DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Norton V4 RR 1200 is a superbike built around a V4 engine, and even such a machine spends most of its life on public roads. Accossato lists its AGPA106 front pad for the V4 RR from 2018 to 2019, and in this version it uses the Sintered (ST) compound, the road-oriented option on this plate. It suits owners who ride the Norton on real roads, where a sunny morning can end in a downpour and the front brake must work just as well cold and wet as warm and dry.

Key Features

  • AGPA106 front pads for the Norton V4 RR 1200, 2018 to 2019
  • Sintered (ST) compound, SKU AGPA106ST
  • Accossato: high, constant grip hot or cold, effective in the wet
  • The road-oriented compound on this plate
  • Responsive without a warm-up lap
  • Keeps working in an unexpected shower
  • Two pads for one caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says the Sintered pad maintains a high, consistent grip level at both high and low temperatures and grips well on wet roads. The brand also designs it to wear slowly and to resist fading. On a superbike used on the road, that consistency matters more than peak bite, because road brakes rarely reach the temperatures of a circuit.

A Superbike on Real Roads

Racing pads often need heat to work properly, and on the road they rarely get it. A sintered pad is designed to work from the moment you set off, on a cold disc and in the wet. That makes it the sensible choice for a V4 RR that is ridden on public roads, where the rider may need to stop hard for a hazard long before the brakes are warm. It also keeps its bite when the road is fast and the brakes do get hot. If you ride to a track day and also want to lap, the EV1 compound on the same plate is the alternative; for pure road use, the Sintered version keeps things simple.

Care for a High-Performance Brake

On a machine with this much performance, brake maintenance deserves attention. Check the pads regularly, keep the discs clean and grease-free and replace the fluid at the interval in the manual. When changing pads, clean the pistons before pushing them back and pump the lever until it is firm before riding.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato allocates AGPA106 to the front of the V4 RR 1200 in 2018 and 2019, and AGPA42 to its rear. No other years or Norton models are covered by this listing. Check how many front calipers your bike carries; each box holds the pads for one.

Road Approval

We hold no German ABE or approval document for AGPA106ST. The pads are sold for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

One box with two Sintered AGPA106 front pads, enough for one caliper.
