DescriptionThe whole story▼

The end of an enduro weekend looks the same almost everywhere: a queue at the wash bay, a pressure washer and a bike that has disappeared under a crust of dirt. A Beta RR 430 4T comes out of it gleaming, but water driven hard into bearings and pivots can do quiet damage, and the footpeg pivots are among the places that suffer. Accossato makes enlarged Ergal footpegs for the RR 430 4T of 2020 to 2026, offered in orange, blue or black.

Key Features

  • Oversized footpegs for the Beta RR 430 4T, model years 2020 to 2026
  • Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy
  • Wide platform for the boots
  • Made for motocross, enduro and off-road riding
  • Orange, blue or black
  • Pair: one left, one right
  • Also listed for the RR 390 4T, RR 480 4T and RR 250 2T
  • No approval on file; competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Pedane maggiorate is what Accossato calls these parts: enlarged footpegs, made of Ergal, for motocross, enduro and off-road bikes. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy. The broader platform gives the boot more support, particularly when the rider stands for long stretches of a test. You receive the pegs as a pair, left and right, in the colour you select. The company, now based in Villastellone near Turin, gives no more technical detail than that, so we leave it there.

At the Wash Bay

Pressure washing is part of racing, but it pays to be selective. Keep the nozzle well away from bearings, seals and electrical connectors, and do not aim it straight into the footpeg pivots, where it forces grit in and flushes grease out. A soft brush and a bucket of soapy water do less harm around the pegs, and a stiff brush takes mud off the peg surfaces without driving water into the joints.

Once the RR 430 4T is dry, work each peg up and down a few times. If one moves stiffly or returns slowly, take it off, clean the pin and the bore, check the spring and refit it with a light film of grease. After a wet event this takes a few minutes and keeps the pegs working as they should. It is also the moment to look for damage: a mount that has been bent against a rock is far easier to spot on a clean bike than halfway through the next race.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the RR 430 4T, Accossato lists this set from 2020 to 2026, and those years are linked to the product. It is the only Accossato footpeg listed for the bike. In our shop the same pair also appears for the RR 390 4T, the RR 480 4T and the RR 250 2T. Reuse the original pins and springs if they pass inspection, and check the rear brake pedal once the new pegs are fitted.

Road Approval

For this footpeg set we hold no ABE and no other proof of approval; it is offered for competition use.
