DescriptionThe whole story▼

This nickel-plated clutch master cylinder keeps the 16 mm piston and the softer PRS 15-16-17 mm pivot distance used on the black anodised version, but finishes the Shark Design body in nickel plating and fits a black folding lever rather than the seven-colour option. It is built to the same Ready To Brake principle as Accossato's brake-side units, reducing the passive stroke across the clutch's pivot range without any rider adjustment beyond selecting the distance.

Key Features

  • 16 mm piston diameter for the radial clutch circuit
  • PRS pivot distance adjustable between 15, 16 and 17 mm
  • Nickel-plated aluminium body in Accossato's Shark Design
  • Black folding lever, short or long reach, with a lightening eyelet (RST)
  • Adjusting knob and reservoir cover finished in black to match the lever
  • Offset riser with a quick-release jumper that also reduces master cylinder movement
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

The nickel-plated surface on this clutch master cylinder sits over the same Shark Design body Accossato uses on the black anodised version, and plating does not change the underlying Ready To Brake shaping that keeps the passive stroke short at every pivot setting. A quick-release jumper on the off-set riser speeds up servicing and limits movement of the unit in use, while stainless steel mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals match the specification used throughout Accossato's radial range. As a clutch circuit, there is no brake light switch to fit.

A Softer Pivot Range, Finished in Nickel

Like its black anodised sibling, this unit's PRS pivot distance moves between 15, 16 and 17 mm, deliberately softer than the 17-18-19 mm range Accossato uses on its radial brake master cylinders, because a lighter, more gradual pull suits a clutch lever better than a short, firm stroke. The 16 mm piston behind that adjustment is unchanged from the black anodised version; what differs is that the nickel-plated body is paired only with a black lever, and the adjusting knob and reservoir cover are finished in black to match rather than offered in the seven colours available on the anodised version.

Fitment and Compatibility

51 motorcycles are listed in our fitment data for this clutch master cylinder, including the BMW S1000 XR (2015-2019), the Honda CB1100 (2017-2017), the Kawasaki Z650 (2017-2022), the Suzuki SV650 (2016-2020) and the BMW F850GS (2019-2020), across BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Ducati. The Fitment tab on this page carries the full list with exact model years; check it against your own registration document before ordering. The same Ready To Brake clutch body is also sold as a separate product in a black anodised finish.

Road Approval

This clutch master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato Ready To Brake PRS 16x15-16-17 radial clutch master cylinder in nickel-plated finish, fitted with the black folding lever in the length ordered, the matching black adjusting knob and reservoir cover, stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals already assembled. The fluid reservoir is not included and must be purchased separately.
