DescriptionThe whole story▼
Between sessions, an RSV4 RR spends its time in a crowded pit garage: on paddock stands, wrapped in tyre warmers, with fuel cans, toolboxes and other bikes all within a metre. People squeeze past, a stand gets kicked, a bike is rolled out in a hurry. For the RSV4 RR of 2015 to 2019, Accossato's LV012 offers a brake lever that copes a little better with such a place: its blade is hinged to a black base and can fold away if it is knocked, its reach is adjustable, and it mounts on the original master cylinder.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the Aprilia RSV4 RR, 2015 to 2019
- Mounts on the original brake master cylinder
- Hinged blade that can fold back when knocked
- Reach adjuster at the base
- Blade with RST lightening cut-out or without it (NRST)
- Blade colours: black, blue, gold, green, orange, red, silver
- One standard length
- No German ABE on record: track use
Construction and Material Quality
The hinge is what separates the LV012 from a conventional lever. It sits between the base, anodised black, which carries the pivot and the reach adjuster, and the blade, anodised in your chosen colour. Both are CNC-machined from aluminium. Under braking, base and blade act as a single lever; when something strikes the blade, it can swing on the hinge. Accossato offers the blade in seven colours and in two forms, with the RST lightening cut-out or as a solid NRST blade.
Stands, Warmers and a Busy Garage
Most damage in a garage is done at walking pace. Someone reverses a bike off its stand and the bar swings into a toolbox; a rear stand slips on a smooth floor; a front stand is pulled away while the bike still leans on it. An RSV4 RR on stands has its levers at exactly the height of trolleys and tyre racks, and if the right-hand lever is pressed against one of them, a blade without a joint may bend. The folding blade of the LV012 can give way on its hinge instead, which lowers the chance of a bent lever just before the next session is called. Good habits still matter most: bars turned in, a clear path when moving the bike, and a quick look at the lever before riding out. On a busy weekend, one less repair in the garage is worth having.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the LV012 for the RSV4 RR from 2015 to 2019, including the Race Pack version of 2015 and the Euro 4 bikes of 2019. The same bikes can take the remote-adjustable RA001, listed for the same years; you would choose one of the two. For riders who prefer fixed levers, Accossato also names the EDF099 brake lever and the ESV004 clutch lever for the RSV4 RR. Check your original lever against the photos before ordering.
Road Approval
German ABE: not documented for this lever. It is sold for use on the track.
