Öhlins publishes an exploded view for each unit, and every position in it carries its own number.

Key Features

Dimension B 34 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 01299-72

Dimension C 35 mm

Dimension A 46 mm

Where It Sits

46 mm, 34 mm, 35 mm: that is the whole specification, and it has to match what came out. Ordering by number from the exploded view is the reliable way to get the right piece. Service parts are what make an Öhlins unit worth rebuilding rather than replacing. The number on the part matches the number in the drawing, which makes identification unambiguous.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 01299-72. Check dimension a 46 mm, dimension b 34 mm, dimension c 35 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Service parts make the difference between a damper that is rebuilt and one that is replaced. The number on the part matches the number in the drawing, which makes identification unambiguous.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01299-72

Category: Service Parts

Dimension A: 46 mm

Dimension B: 34 mm

Dimension C: 35 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01299-72_7f322141-95c4-4cb8-b70d-2faaa992cb54.png?v=1788871057
