Assembly grease matters in a damper: the wrong compound swells seals. Using the specified grease is part of the rebuild specification, not a detail. Öhlins packages these in sizes that suit a workshop rather than a production line.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

How to Be Sure It Fits

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 00147-02. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins greases are chosen for temperature stability rather than for shelf appeal. Assembly grease matters in a damper: the wrong compound swells seals.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00147-02

Category: Lubricants

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00147-02_a5f597bf-f5fd-42e2-9a66-3d30519eccd4.png?v=1788871224
