A torn boot is a reason to replace it before the seal behind it suffers.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 21732-02

Where It Sits

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Öhlins lists covers separately because they wear faster than what they protect. A cover that traps water does more harm than none at all, which is why the design vents. Öhlins shapes these to the unit rather than using a universal sleeve.

Genuine Service Part

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 21732-02 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Covers and boots keep grit off the running surfaces. Öhlins shapes these to the unit rather than using a universal sleeve.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21732-02

Category: Covers

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21732-02_1201b908-623e-4202-9f8f-6881a8212a1c.png?v=1788880162
