How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

All-Day Comfort and Fit
Three separate shell sizes mean the FF805 Thunder Carbon is not simply a single moulding stuffed with extra padding — each size group gets a shell proportioned to match the head it covers. The result is a balanced, low-pressure fit that remains comfortable across long riding days. The X-Static Silver antibacterial lining wicks moisture and resists odour, keeping the interior fresh even when temperatures rise, while the fully removable liner can be taken out and machine-washed between trips.
Ventilation is channelled directly through the EPS liner rather than simply across it, so air that enters the forehead and crown vents actually flows over the head before it exits. In combination with the low overall weight, this makes sustained high-speed riding — whether on circuit or open road — noticeably less tiring than helmets built around a heavier fibreglass or composite shell.
Race-Ready Construction
The 100% carbon fibre shell of the FF805 Thunder Carbon is the same fundamental architecture used in LS2's motorsport programme. Carbon's high strength-to-weight ratio provides outstanding impact resistance while keeping the helmet light enough to benefit riders who demand both protection and comfort across extended sessions. The integrated race spoiler is not a styling detail — it manages airflow at the rear to reduce lift and buffeting, keeping the helmet stable at motorway and circuit speeds alike.
The wide visor is prepared for tear-off film — a set is included — so track riders can keep vision clear across a full race or test day without reaching for a cloth. The same visor accepts the included Pinlock Max Vision 120 insert, eliminating fogging in cold or wet conditions on the road.
