DescriptionThe whole story▼
The MY004 fits Accossato's quick throttle control with the GR002 grip to the Yamaha R6 (2017–2024). GR002 comes in a single fixed finish, so there is no grip colour decision to make here, only a choice among eight cap colours for the anodised housing. The housing itself is the standard two-piece aluminium build used across the range, and the kit includes the YA014 cable set cut for the R6 plus three internal cams (40, 43, 45 mm) for adjusting the throttle's pick-up.
Key Features
- Two-piece CNC-machined aluminium throttle housing
- GR002 racing grip in a fixed finish
- Eight anodised cap colour options
- Accossato YA014 cable set specific to the Yamaha R6
- Three interchangeable internal cams (40, 43, 45 mm)
- Adjustable throttle response and rotation stroke
- Made in Italy, checked before being placed on the market
Construction and Material Quality
Two aluminium half-rings, machined and then anodised in eight available cap colours, make up the housing fitted to the MY004, the same build used throughout this collection. The GR002 grip does not add a second colour choice on top of that; it ships in one finish, and the cap colour is left as the only visible customisation. Inside, three cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm are swapped by hand to change how quickly the throttle opens and how far the grip has to turn to reach full throttle.
Servicing Without the Extra Step
A workshop fitting several of these kits to different bikes benefits from the GR002's fixed finish, since there is one fewer colour to confirm with the customer before placing the order, and one fewer part number to track against a specific grip shade. That makes the MY004 a straightforward choice when the throttle control and cable set are being replaced as routine maintenance rather than as part of a colour-matched build, with the cap colour left to suit whatever the rider wants to see on the bars. Swapping between the three supplied inner cams later needs no extra parts, so the throttle response can still be adjusted after the first ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
The YA014 cable set bundled with the MY004 is cut for the Yamaha R6 (2017–2024); exact production years are listed in the Fitment tab on this page. This cable set is specific to the R6 and does not interchange with the YA013 cables used on the R1 or R1M.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the MY004; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use. As with any throttle control, make sure the grip returns on its own to the idle position once fitted.
