DescriptionThe whole story

On a Z1100 SE the front end tells you everything, including when the pad has had enough. For the Kawasaki Z1100 SE of 2026 that shape is the B007, a 85.0 by 51.0 mm face on a laser-cut backing plate. In EX Race form it is the compound a Z1100 SE rider can use from the first cold stop of the day.

Key Features

  • Listed for the Kawasaki Z1100 SE across 1 model year (2026)
  • Backed by the ZCOO 2026 catalogue listing for the Kawasaki Z1100 SE, 2026
  • Quiet in normal use and low on dust, so the Z1100 SE does not pay for its brakes in wheel cleaning
  • The ceramic layer is sintered to the plate rather than pressed against it, which is what keeps the B007 together at the top of its temperature range
  • Direct replacement for the standard Brembo pad on the Kawasaki Z1100 SE - no shims, no spacers, no modification
  • Laser-cut backing plate holds the friction face flat when the Brembo caliper spreads under peak line pressure

Construction and Material Quality

The Kawasaki Z1100 SE pad is made the way ZCOO makes its competition references. At 8.0 mm the B007 carries its ceramic layer on a plate cut to fill the Brembo caliper window exactly. That is why the B007 holds a consistent contact patch deep into its service life.

Performance and Feel

On a Z1100 SE the second half of a session is where EX Race earns its price. The harder EXC Endurance mixture bit sooner and lasted longer, but asked considerably more of a Z1100 SE disc than the B007 in EX Race does. A grabby pad on a short-wheelbase Z1100 SE is not merely uncomfortable - it is destabilising.

Fitment and Compatibility

The 2026 listing puts the B007 on the Kawasaki Z1100 SE for the 2026 model years. The same B007 shape covers 111 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 85.0 mm length and 51.0 mm height. Front axle exclusively - there is no rear B007.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
