Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – KTM RC 125 (2022–2026) PM200S

An RC 125 is usually somebody's first faired bike and often their first track day, which means the air filter is a part they will meet at a service rather than a part they chose. Worth choosing properly, then. The Sprint Filter P08 PM200S is a dry polyester element that flows more freely than the standard paper filter, cleans with an air line, and never needs oil — which removes the one step on a filter service that is easy to get wrong.

A 125 has nothing to spare

Displacement hides restriction, and a 125 has none to spare. What the engine loses to a loading paper element it cannot make up elsewhere, and a paper filter does not just pass less air as it fills — its pleats deform, so it passes air unevenly. Sprint Filter's polyester fabric is permeable and dimensionally stable, unaffected by the folding used to build the element, so the passage stays even across the whole surface. On this bike that consistency is worth more than any single peak figure.

Bought once, kept through the upgrade

The PM200S covers the RC 125 and RC 390, the 125, 200, 250 and 390 Duke, the 250 and 390 Adventure, and Husqvarna's Svartpilen and Vitpilen — fourteen machines in total. Most RC 125 riders are on something larger within a couple of seasons, and inside that family the filter comes along.

Care and cleaning

Direct an air jet through the element in the opposite direction to normal intake flow; that alone removes most of the debris and the filter goes straight back in, dry. If it is genuinely dirty, compressed air first, then ordinary household detergent, agitate gently, rinse until the water runs clear and let it air dry fully. Never oil it.
