Five Millimetres of Difference

Thirty-five against forty does not sound like much. In flow area it is about a quarter, and on a sound meter it is the difference between passing and being sent home from a circuit with a strict limit.

It is also the difference between an insert you cannot feel and one you can. On a large engine a 35 mm bore takes something out of the mid-range. That is the price of the reduction and it is worth knowing before you fit it.

When to Take This One

When the machine is well over the limit at the gate, when the engine is small enough that the restriction costs little, or when the exhaust is simply too loud to live with on the road.

Riders who visit several circuits sometimes own both this and G9999 and swap according to the venue. The job takes minutes and needs no tools beyond a screwdriver.

Fits Both Modern Families

The Force Evo and the Konix Evo share an outlet section despite looking entirely different — ribbed titanium against a flat-sided wedge. One insert covers both, in either the bike-specific slip-ons or the universal cases.

One per silencer. On a twin-can build, two of the same number. Tell us the silencer article number if you want us to check the section before we send it — it is a two-minute confirmation and it avoids a return.

Seventy-Six Millimetres

The same length as the wider insert, so choosing this one costs no room in the case. Only the bore changes, which keeps the decision to a single question: how much reduction do you actually need?

Approval Status

Unchanged by the fitting. An insert alters what a meter reads; certificates are issued for complete systems on named motorcycles and are not affected by which plug is in the outlet — except that swapping a homologated silencer's own insert for a different one takes the exhaust outside what was tested.
