Most intercoms are designed for a generic helmet and then persuaded onto a specific one, which is why so many of them sit proud of the shell and whistle above a hundred. This unit was developed by Sena together with Shark for Shark shells, and the difference shows in how little of it is outside the helmet.

Solo or duo
Shark catalogues this system in two forms. This is the solo kit, one set for one helmet. The duo kit, article SENATOOTHBTD, is two complete sets in one box and is the cheaper route if you are equipping a bike that always rides two-up. A solo kit will still talk to a second rider's unit; the difference is only in how many sets are in the box.
Bluetooth or Mesh
Alongside this Bluetooth system Shark also lists a Mesh version under the SENAWAVE numbers. Bluetooth pairs a fixed set of riders and is the simpler and less expensive choice for one or two people. Mesh builds a self-healing group that riders can leave and rejoin without repairing, which matters once a group runs past three or four bikes. For a rider and a pillion, Bluetooth is the sensible option.
Helmet compatibility
The manufacturer describes this as designed for its own helmets but does not name a list of ranges in the price list, and no such list is claimed here. Before ordering, check that your helmet has the recess and the speaker pockets for an intercom, and compare the mounting plate with the one shown.

Yes — the cheek pads are channelled so the arms of your glasses slide in comfortably.
Take out the washable lining and hand-wash it in lukewarm water. Clean the shell and visor with a soft cloth and water only — never solvents.
