Preload adjusters carry the full spring force and are built accordingly.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 00416-04

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Detent balls and springs are separate parts because they wear before the housing does. Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it. Electronically controlled adjusters replace the needle with a solenoid but keep the same hydraulics.

Original Öhlins Part

The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 00416-04. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Click adjusters work through a needle in a seat; the detent spring gives the clicks their feel. Öhlins specifies a defined number of clicks per adjuster so a setting is a number, not an impression.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00416-04

Category: Adjusters

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00416-04_822c3257-29c9-4b4d-9f20-5866f3fa79df.png?v=1788869311
