DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 071 PAIR system eliminator cover closes off the secondary air injection ports on a Ducati Monster V2 once the PAIR hardware is removed. CNC-machined aluminium plates take the place of the factory covers, and a matching aluminium plug seals the hole left in the airbox, so the intake stays sealed.
Key Features
- Ducati Monster V2 (2026)
- CNC-machined aluminium plates replace the original PAIR covers
- Aluminium plug seals the vacated hole in the airbox
- Designed for the Ducati Monster V2
- Finishes off a PAIR removal with no open ports left behind
- Lightweight alternative to the stock cast covers
Finishing a PAIR removal properly
Taking the PAIR solenoid off a Monster V2 leaves an open port on the airbox and a pair of empty mounting faces at the cylinder head, both of which need sealing for the intake tract to stay airtight. This cover and plug set is the finishing piece for that job.
Machined aluminium construction
Both cover plates are CNC-machined from aluminium rather than cast, giving a flatter mounting face and a lighter finished part than the original PAIR covers. The matching plug is turned from the same material, so the three pieces sit together as one finished look.
Fit on the Monster V2
The cover plates bolt straight onto the Monster V2 cylinder head in place of the factory PAIR covers, using the same fasteners and gasket faces, while the airbox plug presses into the vacated port without any cutting or reshaping of the plastics.
Why sealing the airbox matters
An open port in the airbox after a PAIR removal lets unmetered air into the intake tract, which can unsettle the fuelling the ECU calculates. Plugging that hole keeps the Monster V2 drawing air only through its intended path. This keeps fuelling calculations consistent even after the PAIR hardware itself has left the bike.
Where it belongs in a build
This cover and plug set is a companion part for a PAIR elimination rather than a standalone upgrade, so it is best fitted alongside the solenoid eliminator as one combined job on a track-prepared motorcycle. Fitting it alongside the solenoid eliminator in one sitting is the usual approach on a track build.
