DescriptionThe whole story▼
The RSV4 1100 Factory of 2019 brought the larger 1100 engine to Aprilia's superbike, together with aerodynamic wings on the fairing, and it suits riders who spend their weekends on circuits. For them, Accossato offers the RA001, a folding brake lever combined with a remote adjuster. The idea behind it is simple: a rider should be able to reset the brake lever during a session without coming into the box, using the left hand so that the right can stay on the throttle. It fits the original brake master cylinder of the 2019 RSV4 1100.
Key Features
- Folding brake lever with 90-degree remote adjuster for the Aprilia RSV4 1100, 2019
- Adjusted with the left hand while riding, throttle hand stays in place
- Holder in 35 mm or 60 mm
- Designed for the original brake master cylinder
- Blade on a hinge that can fold away when hit
- RST (lightening cut-out) or NRST blade
- Colours: black, blue, gold, green, orange, red, silver
- Sold for racing; no German ABE documented
Construction and Material Quality
An adjuster used on the move has to be easy to find by feel. On the RA001 it sits within reach of the left hand, and its holder is available as 35 mm or 60 mm. The lever is CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised. The lever itself folds like Accossato's other models, with its coloured blade hinged to a black base that stays on the pivot. Seven blade colours are offered, as well as the choice between the RST blade with its lightening cut-out and the plain NRST blade.
Learning a Circuit, One Straight at a Time
The first sessions at an unfamiliar circuit are spent learning where to brake, and the lever setting that suits your home track may not suit the new one. A layout with long straights into slow hairpins asks for different braking than one full of fast changes of direction. Normally, trying a new setting means riding into the pit lane, adjusting and heading out again, losing part of a session each time. With the RA001 on an RSV4 1100, you can try a change on one straight and judge it at the next braking point, then keep it, reverse it or go further. Keep the method simple: one small change, a lap or two to feel it, then decide. By the end of the day, the setting you ride with has been tested at every corner rather than guessed in the paddock.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's entry for the RA001 names the RSV4 1100 Racing Factory of 2019. For this bike, Accossato's list shows no other folding lever and no fixed lever either, so the RA001 is the only Accossato brake lever we can offer for the 2019 RSV4 1100. It mounts in place of the original brake lever. The earlier RSV4 models with the smaller engine are covered by separate listings.
Road Approval
The RA001 carries no documented German ABE. We sell it as a part for the circuit.
