The P08 achieves it through the weave itself, spun from polyester threads of 22 microns and upwards, and generous area is what keeps that weave from becoming a restriction. Where conditions genuinely demand a finer medium, Sprint Filter make them — the water-repellent P037 at 37 microns, the P14 at 14 — and each finer step gives up flow, the P14 passing 1,800 litres per square metre per second. Let the element stand in open air until every part of it is dry — never over heat, never near a flame — and fit it dry. No oiling follows, since the polyester has never been oiled.
