How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Fluorescent yellow exists because human eyes find it before anything else. On the Dravix blocks it covers enough area to register in a mirror rather than reading as a stripe.
An HPFC shell in three sizes
LS2 builds the Challenger II from HPFC, a fibreglass composite laid up for stiffness without bulk. The result is 1500 g with an integrated sun visor — the weight you notice on hour four, not on the spec sheet.
LS2 tools three shells for this model. The practical effect is proportion: the helmet looks right on a small head and does not balloon on a large one.
About the Dravix Hi-Vis Yellow finish
This is the most conspicuous Challenger II. The matt coat helps: it scatters light evenly instead of throwing one hot highlight, which keeps the fluorescent area readable from wider angles. If you commute in traffic or ride through northern winters, this decor does the most work of any in the range.
Airflow from the top down
Top vents, ducted EPS, rear extractors, breath deflector. A touring layout: quieter than a chin-fed race helmet, and enough flow to keep a visor clear on a motorway run.
Seeing out
The visor is scratch-resistant, UV-stable and cut for maximum field of view, with a double-injection seal that keeps weather out. A Pinlock 120XLT MaxVision insert is in the box, and a button lock holds the visor shut.
Inside sits a tinted screen you drop when the sun does. The easy-removal system means it can be taken out and washed rather than smeared clean in place.
Holding on, and letting go
Micrometric metal buckle, reinforced strap, emergency release for the cheek pads, and a metal certification plaque. Straightforward, and all of it standard.
The bit you actually touch
The liner is COOLMAX — a fabric built to move moisture away from the skin and dry quickly, which is exactly what a touring helmet needs. It is antibacterial, hypoallergenic, removable and washable.
What it is built for
