Housing and Contacts Together
The right-hand switches sit inside the throttle assembly, so the two are renewed as one. This unit does that from a single block rather than from moulded halves.
Öhlins and M50 Calipers
Fully adjustable suspension at both ends and Brembo monobloc brakes. On a 147 horsepower naked with a short wheelbase, both work harder than they would on anything faired.
Eleven Degrees of Overlap
The reduced valve overlap is what turned a superbike engine into something usable at low revs. Without it a 1198 cc Testastretta would be intolerable in traffic.
Enclosed Contacts
Sealed inside the machined body. Ingress rather than wear is what finishes switchgear, and a naked bike gives the water a direct path to whatever is on the bar.
A Machined Bore
The throttle tube turns cleanly in a bore that is cut rather than formed. Ride-by-wire means that consistency reaches the engine as well as the hand.
One Finish
Black anodised, converted into the metal. Against gold Öhlins it steps back rather than attempting to match, which usually reads better.
Cut From Solid
Ergal 7075 at roughly double the strength of the 6000 series used in most machined accessories. It holds a clamping face on a handlebar indefinitely.
Adjustable Ergonomics
Ducati offered several seat heights and bar positions on the 1200. It is part of why this model has kept such a wide range of owners over three decades.
Ducati's Own Connector
Pre-wired, so nothing is spliced or soldered. The old assembly comes off and this one takes its place with nothing to reset.
