The Engraved Face
JetPrime cuts its name into the anodised surface here. It is otherwise the identical body to the plain version and it is offered because owners disagree about which looks better.
The Enduro Variant
Ducati built a Multistrada 1200 Enduro on this platform with a thirty litre tank, a nineteen inch front wheel and spoked rims. It is the most genuinely capable adventure bike the company has made.
Testastretta DVT
Both camshafts adjust continuously relative to the crankshaft, which is how a 160 horsepower engine also idles politely. Ducati introduced the system on this motorcycle.
Throttle Assembly Only
The switch block stays in place. This covers the housing by itself, which is what most owners actually want.
Hours at One Position
Touring means holding an opening rather than moving constantly. A true bore keeps that stable and makes a long day considerably less tiring on the wrist.
Black Anodising
Converted into the metal. Adventure bikes meet salt, gravel and rain, and none of those treats a coated finish with any respect.
Cut From Solid
Ergal 7075 at roughly double the yield strength of ordinary machined aluminium. On a tall motorcycle carrying luggage, the bar takes real load in a fall.
Semi-Active Everywhere
Ducati spread electronic suspension across the Multistrada range faster than any rival, and the technology on this generation still feels current a decade later.
A Mark That Stays
The engraving is cut into the anodised layer rather than applied over it, so it survives everything the component survives. Nothing about it wears away.
Four Bikes, and It Meant It
Ducati's claim was marketing and the riding modes really do reconfigure the motorcycle rather than merely softening the throttle. Enduro drops the engine to a hundred horsepower and changes the ABS strategy completely, and on a gravel track that is a genuinely different machine from the one that was on a motorway an hour earlier.
