A Hundred and Ninety Kilograms
Wet, essentially the same as the standard bike because the lighter wheels are offset by the suspension hardware. The difference is in behaviour rather than mass.
Why an LED Unit Trips It
A diode array draws a fraction of what a filament bulb did, and the monitoring circuit reads that difference as a burnt-out lamp. The warning appears even though the light works perfectly.
Not a Legal Modification
A motorcycle used on the road needs its rear lighting. This part exists for machines with an alternative tail unit fitted or for track use only.
Ten Minutes
The seat comes off, the connector comes out, the eliminator goes in. There is no bodywork to remove on most models and nothing needs to be measured.
A Proper Connector Body
The eliminator is moulded with the correct plug rather than adapted from a generic housing, which is why it seats and locks like the original did.
What the Eliminator Presents
A resistance chosen to sit inside the window the controller expects, potted into a body with the motorcycle's own connector moulded onto it.
Two Warnings at Once
A rear conversion often changes the tail light and the plate lamp together, and each is monitored separately. Clearing one and not the other leaves the panel exactly as lit as it was.
Track Day Scrutineering
Organised sessions generally want lights removed or taped, and some want the bulbs out entirely. A machine that spends its weekends on circuits and its weeks in a garage is the natural home for this part, because the alternative is a warning light for every mile of the road ride home.
