Two Hundred and Forty-Seven Kilograms
Dry, which is enormous and carried very low. The XDiavel handles considerably better than any cruiser has a right to.
An Open Circuit
That is all the electronics see, and they cannot distinguish it from a deployed stand or a broken wire. All three produce identical behaviour.

A buyer expects the safety systems to work as described, and putting the standard switch back is a five-minute job that avoids the conversation.
A Question Worth Asking First
Is the stand still on the motorcycle? If it is, the interlock is protecting against a real mistake and a new switch is the better answer.
Documented Removal
Photographing the bracket before anything comes off makes the eventual refit quicker and settles arguments about which fastener went where.
Torque on the Bracket
The stand bolts carry real load and Ducati specifies a figure. Noting it before the parts go in a box is worth the ten seconds.
What the Eliminator Presents
The state the controller reads as a retracted stand, in a potted body carrying Ducati's own connector. There is nothing to configure, nothing to power and nothing that can drift, because it is a passive part doing a passive job.
Why Switches Fail
The unit sits at the bottom of the motorcycle, on the left, directly in the path of everything the front wheel picks up. Salt gets into it, a pressure washer finishes the job, and the contacts eventually read intermittently. The symptom is an engine that cuts out on a left-hand bend, which is memorable.
