The Largest Supermoto Ever Built
One hundred and thirty horsepower from 1197 cc in a supermoto chassis. Nobody else attempted anything like it and nobody has since.
Traction Control as Standard
Aprilia fitted a three-stage system, which on a motorcycle with this much torque and this little weight over the rear was not optional.
Why the Stand Comes Off
Lean angle and preparation. A bike used on a kart circuit or a supermoto track loses the stand before anything else.
What Then Happens
The controller cannot confirm the stand is retracted and the engine cuts in gear. Nothing else on the build can be tested until that is resolved.
Satisfied Properly
This unit supplies the state the controller expects rather than bridging terminals. The panel carries nothing and nothing is stored.
An Old Switch
Corrosion in the standard switch produces intermittent cutting out that is extremely hard to chase. On bikes of this age it is a known fault in its own right.

One connector near the swingarm pivot with no bodywork to remove.

The standard switch refits with the stand whenever the bike returns to the road.

Two Hundred and Twelve Kilograms
Wet, which is a great deal for a supermoto and remarkably little for anything with 130 horsepower and this much suspension travel. Aprilia never quite explained who the bike was for and the people who bought one have never needed it explained.
