The JP ES 010 removes the PAIR solenoid from the half-faired FZ8 Fazer without leaving a warning.

The Faired Version
Yamaha sold the FZ8 with and without bodywork. The Fazer added a half fairing and a screen, and it is the version that makes more sense for anybody covering distance.
A Shortened R1
Seven hundred and seventy-nine cubic centimetres from the R1's architecture, detuned for midrange. It is a smoother engine than the specification suggests.
Secondary Air
Fresh air into the exhaust ports on the overrun, so leftover fuel burns in the header. It is emissions hardware and it produces the popping people blame on their exhaust.
Why the ECU Objects
The solenoid is monitored at every start. Remove it and a fault appears immediately and remains until something supplies the expected load.
Honest Fuelling
Oxygen injected after combustion corrupts the sensor reading. Removing the system is the first step for anybody serious about a fuelling module or a remap.
Blank the Head Ports
The mechanical half needs a cover. Doing only the electrical half silences the warning while the air keeps flowing, which achieves very little.
Type Approval
The system is part of what makes the bike road legal. Removing it is a modification for closed circuits and this description says so.
Five Model Years
Yamaha built the Fazer version from 2011 to 2015. Values have stayed low and the bikes have stayed reliable, which is a good combination for a project.
Nothing Cut
The original connector is used throughout and the loom is untouched. Everything returns to standard whenever it needs to.
A Half Fairing That Works
Yamaha gave the Fazer enough bodywork to keep the wind off a rider's chest without turning it into a tourer. It is a more useful motorcycle than the naked FZ8 for anybody covering real distance, and it costs almost nothing more second-hand.
