The JP MJ 008 is a two hundred gram module for the MT-10 that does one thing: it lengthens or shortens the injector pulse the standard controller decided on.

The Crossplane Naked
Yamaha took the R1 engine, retuned it for midrange and put it under a wide handlebar. It sounds like nothing else in the class.
Type Approval
In markets where the fuelling forms part of the motorcycle's emissions approval, altering it puts the machine outside its approved condition. That is a legal question rather than an engineering one and it is worth settling locally.
The Diagnostic Question
Because the original controller is untouched, its fault memory stays honest. Anybody who has chased a fault on a motorcycle with a flashed controller understands why that matters.
Fitting Time
Twenty minutes on a machine where the injector harness is under the seat, an hour where the tank has to come off. Nothing in either case requires a tool anybody would have to buy.
Not a Season-Long Project
Some tuning components lead to a winter of adjustment. This one is fitted in an afternoon and then behaves identically for the next decade.
The Connectors Do the Work
A harness with the correct plugs moulded on is what makes this a twenty-minute job rather than an afternoon with a soldering iron and a wiring diagram.
The Engine Is Not at Risk
The correction is small, it is applied in the rich direction where it matters and the standard controller's protections all remain active. This is not a device that can lean an engine out.
What Happens at Full Throttle
The correction continues to apply, but a fully open throttle is a condition the factory maps carefully anyway. The differences there are smaller than at part load.
