A Sports Tourer From MV
The Turismo Veloce covers distance with the same triple and a considerably softer map. It is the least MV-like motorcycle MV builds.
Why the Factory Map Is Cautious
A manufacturer maps one motorcycle for every market, every fuel quality and every altitude it will ever be sold into, then adds a margin for emissions testing. That margin is not a mistake. It is simply not tuned for one bike, one climate and one exhaust system.
Under the Seat
That is where most owners put it, because it is dry, out of sight and close to the injector harness on the majority of machines. A cable tie and five minutes of thought is the whole of the installation advice.
Warranty, Practically
Unplug it, put the original connectors back together and the motorcycle is standard. Most owners do this before a service and reconnect it the same evening.
Two Products, One Catalogue
JetPrime sells this alongside a programmable unit at a considerably higher price. The choice is between a curve somebody else worked out and a curve the owner works out themselves.
What a Module Cannot Reach
Ignition timing, the rev limiter, the throttle map on a ride-by-wire machine and every electronic rider aid. All of those belong to the standard controller and stay there.
Commuting
Stop-start traffic is the opposite case. Every junction is a transition off a closed throttle, which is exactly the region where a lean factory map is most obviously lean.
Nothing Draws Current at Rest
The module is powered from the injector circuit and does nothing with the ignition off. There is no parasitic drain and no reason to disconnect it for storage.
