The JP MJ 001 sits between the Multistrada V2's loom and its injectors and adjusts how long each one stays open, which is the whole of what a power module does.

Traction control, wheelie control and engine braking strategy are all decided upstream by the standard controller and are unaffected. The module is invisible to them.

Most owners unplug it. It takes five minutes, leaves the connectors as they were and removes a conversation that is easier avoided than had.

A pillion and luggage put the engine at higher load for the same throttle opening, which moves the operating point into a different part of the map and often exposes it.
