The JP MJ 001 is the simpler of JetPrime's two fuel units for the Monster 821: a curve somebody else worked out, rather than one the owner has to develop.

The Middleweight Monster
Ducati kept the shape and reduced the capacity, producing the Monster that introduced most people to the model. Its fuelling is deliberately gentle.
Constant Throttle Surging
A lean cruise setting produces a slight hunting at steady speeds that riders learn to ignore. It is the most common complaint about modern fuel injection and it is the thing a fuel module is best placed to address.
Buying With an Exhaust Already Fitted
This is the most common situation and the clearest case. A motorcycle running an aftermarket silencer on the standard map is working with a mixture the factory never intended it to have.
Fitting Time
Twenty minutes on a machine where the injector harness is under the seat, an hour where the tank has to come off. Nothing in either case requires a tool anybody would have to buy.
Dealers and Terms
It unplugs in minutes. Owners inside a warranty period generally remove it before an appointment and refit it afterwards, and the connectors are designed to tolerate that repeatedly.
Working With the Sensor
The oxygen sensor loop keeps trimming where it trims. The module adds its correction to that result rather than replacing it, which is why nothing conflicts and nothing is reported.
Fuel Quality
A tank of poor petrol affects a motorcycle with a module exactly as it affects one without. The correction is a fixed curve and it has no way of knowing what has been put in the tank.
On a Twin Versus a Four
A large twin with widely spaced firing pulses shows lean fuelling more obviously than a smooth four does. Owners of vee twins and parallel twins tend to notice more.
