Variable Timing on Tour
The RT covers distance more than it covers ground quickly, and the ShiftCam boxer's low-rev flexibility is the reason it does that so well.
Against a Full Remap
Flashing the original controller changes ignition timing, rev limits and rider aids as well as fuelling, and it needs specialist equipment. A module is narrower, cheaper and reversible in a minute, which suits an owner who wants one problem solved.
