Race Homologation Numbers
The RF was built in the volumes World Superbike demanded, with the Factory hardware and a state of tune that assumes a pipe and a filter will follow.
The Loom Is Model Specific
The module is common; the harness that connects it is not. JetPrime supplies the wiring for the chosen motorcycle, which is why the catalogue lists machines rather than engine sizes and why a part from another model is not a shortcut.
What Changes at the Bottom
The first eighth of throttle travel is where a lean map shows itself, as a hesitation or a jerk when picking up drive. That transition is where a module earns its money on almost every motorcycle.
Small Openings Matter Most
Almost all road riding happens in the first quarter of throttle travel. A change there is felt on every corner exit and in every roundabout, which is why response is a better sales argument than peak power.
The First Quarter of the Throttle
It is where a motorcycle spends the overwhelming majority of its life, and it is where a manufacturer's caution is most audible. A module addresses that region rather than the part a magazine test measures.
Choosing a Location
Dry, secured, away from heat and with the cable routed so suspension movement does not pull on it. That is the entire specification and it takes ten minutes to satisfy.
Fuel Quality
A tank of poor petrol affects a motorcycle with a module exactly as it affects one without. The correction is a fixed curve and it has no way of knowing what has been put in the tank.
Nothing Draws Current at Rest
The module is powered from the injector circuit and does nothing with the ignition off. There is no parasitic drain and no reason to disconnect it for storage.
