ShiftCam on a Boxer
BMW gave the 1254 cc twin two intake cam profiles and a sliding camshaft. It broadened the powerband without costing anything at the top and it made an already dominant motorcycle better.

Which Is the Argument
A saturated carbon bed causes hard starting, and vapour lines chafe through on rough ground. Both faults happen in the worst possible places.
The Whole Path
From the tank vent through the carbon bed to the intake. The kit removes it end to end rather than interrupting it.
The Tank Side of the Job
One line stays and gets a proper termination. Everything else on the vapour side leaves with the canister.
The Electrical Half
Removing the vessel is mechanical; keeping the controller happy is not. The kit covers both because either alone leaves a job unfinished.
Filling to the Brim
Long-distance riders do it at every opportunity, which is precisely what forces liquid fuel into the carbon and finishes it permanently.
Space for Protection
Crash bars, a sump guard and pannier frames all need mounting points in the area behind the engine that the canister occupies.
Documented Removal
Photographing the routing before taking anything out makes the eventual refit considerably quicker. It takes two minutes.
